Devonport Field Gun Association Re-Union Weekend 2008

Friday 4th July

Golf at The China Fleet Club, Saltash. Mustering at 9:00hrs for 10:00hrs

AGM/Social & Buffet at Devonport Services Rugby Club, Stonehouse. Commencing at 17:30hrs. Disco & Karaoke until late.

Saturday 5th July

Visit to Command Field Gun Museum. Mustering at Granby Gate 11:00hrs for 11:30hrs.

Get together from 12:00hrs at St Levans Inn, Devonport.

Dinner & Dance at HMS Drake, Warrant Officers & Senior Rates Mess. 19:00hrs for 19:30hrs. 100% Sit down dinner, Naval Barracks Volunteer Band playing throughout, disco & karaoke to follow.

Sunday 6th July

Church service, Royal Naval Barracks. Mustering at Drake Gate 10:00hrs for 10:30hrs (Do not be late or you will not gain entry).

Plymouth Lord Mayors Procession - Devonport Field Gun Association has been invited to join in the Plymouth Lord Mayors Procession on Saturday, 17th May 2008.  Everyone is required to march in their COMMAND polo shirt's (Fred Perrys) and Field Gun Association Blazers (if possible).  Muster on the Hoe at 11:30hrs. 

A few COMMAND Field Gunners from Pompey, Fleet Air Arm and Chatham have also asked if they can join us.  When the Parade disperses we have arranged for those who wish to meet in the St Levans Inn, Devonport for a relaxing couple of hours (at their own expense of course). Twickenham 2008 – The annual Army v Royal Navy rugby match will be staged at Twickenham on Saturday 3rd May 2008. The Field Gun Bar will once again be open on the day; Members can obtain flyers/swingers for entry to the bar by contacting The Association Secretary. Tickets can be booked directly from RN Rugby Union or by calling 0870 444 6633.

Plymouth Scout Field Gun Competition – The Cub Scouts of Plymouth are keeping alive the spirit of Field Gun and will be holding their Plymouth Scout Field Gun Competition on Saturday 14th June 2008 at Blindmans Wood , Outlands Road. Further details will follow shortly.
